There is a lot changing in the Workday ecosystem right now.
Some of it is happening inside Workday.
Some of it is happening outside of Workday.
And honestly, it can feel overwhelming.
In this episode of Workday Gold, I talked with Christian Delcid about what it looks like to work in a more AI-native organization.
One of the biggest takeaways was that AI is no longer just a research tool.
It is becoming a practical assistant for Workday admins.
Christian shared an example where he gave Claude Code a screenshot and access to read Workday data.
The tool helped identify that a Workday Help SLA issue was not a reporting problem.
It was a process problem.
That is a big shift.
But Christian also made an important point.
These tools do not replace your Workday knowledge or judgment.
They work best when you know enough to push back, ask follow-up questions, and validate the answer.
The bigger mindset shift is asking, “What would AI need to do this task well?”
What data would it need?
What system access would it need?
What output would be useful?
That is where Workday admins can create real value.
Not by automating everything at once.
But one little unlock at a time.
